Orks and Kraken
Whoa there. Haven’t had too much time to think or read lately, too busy meeting people, travelling
Arrived in Tela yesterday. Busy night, actually. Remember?
I was expecting to find a tavern or similar to perform at. Didn’t find anything; I guess the town has been more-or-less converted to a military camp for the orcs when they come. I tried to perform, but I let myself distracted. Remember what that feels like? Remember why that happened as well. You had just met two other travellers – one slightly foolish but good looking lady, the other a holy man of some old religion. I guess everyone in Tela works so we survive, and because we didn’t seem to have much in the way of fighting skill, we were put together. Trying to find the source of this Black Frost. Didn’t sound like anything I’d used before.
I let myself get distracted out there, I think. I have a lot of my mind since I heard the news from the old manor. Can’t let that distract me. These people, these soldiers – they need hope.
I like these new friends. I feel like we don’t need to talk much to get things done. Surprised at their composition, though. The girl – Norah – seems foolish as a child, but her age and her attire seem to speak otherwise. Though, like a child in her simplicity there brews occasional moments of genius. The other one, John – obsessed with Huattol, seems like a business man. Oh, if he had met the spirits I have in my youth!
Oh – Need to go now. Report to the commander.
